A trader or master password is an un-spaced sequence or string of characters that traders can use to log on to their trading account to perform trading transactions in the Forex market via the MT4 trading platform. Such trading transactions include opening and closing of buy and sell orders, placing of take-profits and stop losses and placing stop and limit orders.

On the other hand, an investor password is a string of characters that traders give out to interested potential investors to log in or have access to their trading accounts in order to monitor the trading activities and history of the trader’s account. This enables the investor to make a logical and reasonable decision to go ahead whether or not to invest his capital on the trader to manage his funds.

Generally passwords should be kept in a safe place for security reasons in order to prevent your trading account from being hacked. Most passwords are case sensitive. This means that capitalization counts: “mypassword” is different from “MyPassword” (neither of which are good passwords, by the way!)

Use this to your advantage by using mixed-case typing in your passwords. Capitalize the first letter, every other letter, or some similar, memorable arrangement. Keyboard symbols such as ampersand, pound, percent, ash-tag and others are allowed in almost all passwords, and are very unlikely to be guessed, so use them when possible. Always use at least six, but ideally eight or more characters in a password, with at least one number. If possible, use a password that can be typed quickly and would be difficult for someone nearby to spy on.
